A small number of subpages do not yet determine the cost of the project. The scope is influenced by content, editing method, forms and material preparation, even if the site looks very sparing.
Simple for the recipient, specific in the order
The site can have only a few sections, and at the same time require an individual project, two languages and a connection to the booking tool. Another site with several similar subpages can use one agreed template. The number of views alone does not provide a complete comparison.
Save the most important task: present the service, collect the inquiry, show the executions or share the basic information. Then specify the materials needed to perform this task. Other ideas can be discussed as a later stage.
What affects the scope of work
When preparing an offer request, separate the elements provided by the company and created by the contractor. The finished text after correction is a different starting point than several loose notes. Similarly, the set of photographs with publication law differs from the need to search them or prepare them.
Check the quote:
- whether it includes layout and graphic design;
- who develops and introduces content;
- what you can edit in the panel;
- how many language versions are provided;
- which forms and external connections are to operate;
- what the reception and support look like after launch.
An example of a reasonable restriction
Imagine a specialist offering one service. The first version may contain a clear description, scope of cooperation, answers to the most important questions and contact. An extensive blog or configurator is not necessary just because they appear on another company's website.
However, limiting the scope should not mean omitting your phone readability, checking the form or basic arrangement of the content. These are the elements needed to use the finished page.
Cost of commissioning and later work
Separate a one-time project from the maintenance of domain, hosting, external services and possible care. Ask what happens when you want to add a subpage or change the contractor. Such arrangements help assess the cost of using the site, not only the initial amount.
