The folding leaflet is a short sequence of information. The cover, first opening and full distribution should guide the recipient through the subject in an understandable order.
Start with a paper model
Before creating the graphics, fold the blank sheet according to the planned folding method. Mark the cover, back and next fields. This way, the team evaluates the layout as the recipient sees it, not just as a wide file on the screen.
Agree the format with the printer and check the requirements of the individual parts. Do not assume that each type of folding has the same division. The model helps to talk about order, and the production requirements determine how the file is prepared.
Give each one an open task
The cover should explain the subject and encourage you to get to know the next part. The first opening can develop the main question, and the middle can sort out variants or stages. Do not divide the text by accident just because the previous box has run out of space.
For example, the package leaflet can lead from customer situation to scope to way of cooperation. Contact should be easy to find also without full spread. Do not hide the only number in a place the recipient does not expect to open.
Check links between panels
The header and its development should not split in a misleading way. Watch out for sentences passing through the bend and readable information only after the sheet has been reversed. If necessary, shorten the text or change its order.
When you try, ask a non-projecter to:
- recognised the theme from the cover;
- opened the leaflet in a natural way;
- has found specific information;
- chose the next step;
- She pointed out where she was in contact.
Pick up the material after folding
Print the work version and test it on the target scale. Check not only the letter readability but also the way you hold and rotate the leaflet. hierarchy of leaflet contents i check before being sent to print.
