The project should work with a short title, a long name of the service and an imperfect photo. Testing actual materials helps detect problems that are not seen on the carefully selected model.
Do not design for just one example
The service card can look good with two short words, and spread out at the full name of the next offer. Similarly, the button prepared under a brief signature may not hold longer translations. Such cases are worth knowing before approval of the layout.
Collect materials representing differences in the service. In addition to a typical example, choose the longest title, shorter description, vertical photo and element without additional illustration.
Set the behavior of the item
The project should determine whether the title can cover several lines, how adjacent cards align and what happens without a photo. Hiding an important part of the name is not always the right solution. The user must know where the link leads.
Do not force an identical number of characters in each description just to fit into one screen.
Test several conditions at once
- Long title on a narrow phone.
- Enlarged text and buttons with full action name.
- No optional photo or signature.
- A few cards of different volume next to each other.
Check if the important information remains in logical order. What is on the big screen on the right, on the small one can appear much lower and lose the relation to the description.
Give the editor reasonable guidance
The editor should know what materials work best with the system. Tips on the proportion of photos or the brevity of headers help, but do not replace a resilient design.
