CMS facilitates independent changes, but its value depends on the way the company works. The decision is based on planned updates, responsibility for content and maintenance costs.
Save Changes from Recent Months
Before you select a panel, write out what really changes on the website: service descriptions, execution photos, products, documents or contact details. Add the expected frequency and the person who prepares the material. This list shows whether you need regular editing or some occasional amendments.
Do not evaluate the need for CMS only with the number of subpages. A small service with a frequently updated offer may require a convenient panel more than a large, stable directory of information.
See who's going to publish
The access to the editor itself does not provide current content. You need a person who has time, materials and authority to make decisions. In a small company it is also worth determining a replacement so that one person does not block an important correction.
- How soon must change occur?
- Is acceptance needed before publication?
- Who prepares pictures and lyrics?
- Who is responsible for maintaining the system itself?
Compare full mode
A set of costs of implementing the panel and its care at the expense of ordering updates. Also take into account the time of employees, training and checking of published materials. Rare changes can be easily handled by the contractor; regular editorial work may justify greater autonomy.
However, do not assume that CMS will allow you to change everything without limitation. The scope of the editing depends on the modules and project principles prepared.
Test the task before deciding
Ask to show one typical operation: adding the implementation, replacing the document or changing the working time.
