A good order allows both parties to understand what is to be created and how it will be received. Clear rules on materials, acceptance and new ideas help maintain order during the project.
Replace general expectations into tasks
Instead of a “modern website with a panel” describe the recipients, structure, content types and actions needed. Determine what the customer provides and what the contractor is preparing. Not all materials must be ready immediately, but should have the owner and the deadline.
Also include less visible elements: language versions, forms, data import, redirection and later support. Their absence in the model does not mean that they will be performed automatically.
Set the time for decision-making
The project is worth dividing into stages where a specific result is approved. It can be a structure, a mock-up, a look and a ready implementation. When accepting, save what is closed and what questions remain open.
For example, approval of a structure covering several services does not have to mean consent to an additional search directory. This is a new range that needs to be assessed in terms of impact on the project, data and term.
The new idea needs a short evaluation
Changes in the course of work are natural. However, it is worth separating the repair of non-compliance with the arrangements from the addition of a new function. For an additional idea save the goal, scope and consequences. Only after agreement update the schedule.
A useful list of decisions shall include:
- a description of the agreed result;
- the materials needed to be made;
- the accepting person;
- the time limit for submission of comments;
- the impact of the change on other elements;
- confirmation of the final version.
Report comments in a verifiable manner
Enter an address or view, describe the problem and the expected behavior. If the note concerns the content, please report the exact piece to change. Distributed comments in several channels increase the risk of omitting a decision or working on an outdated material.
